Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer affecting men in the United States, but is most treatable when caught early. Establishing a baseline prostate-specific antigen (PSA) score at age 40 can help doctors better interpret your future PSA scores. Prostate health is important. The American Urological Association recommends that men age 40 and older talk with their doctor about prostate cancer testing with the PSA test and a simple physical exam. A blood test at 40 can set a baseline score for you and your doctor to track and monitor. Knowing your score today could help save your life later.
